Nicht gerade legendär

Normalerweise freuen wir uns über schlechte Kritiken genauso wie über gute - und dass nicht jedem unsere Musik gefallen kann, ist fast schon eine Selbstverständlichkeit. Deswegen haben wir konsequent auch die Verrisse (von denen es ja nur ein paar wenige gab) an dieser Stelle abgedruckt. Bei der aktuellen Besprechung der aalfang-Scheibe machen wir aber eine Ausnahme. Marcus Pan, der das ansonsten höchst kompetente und umfangreiche Legends-Magazin leitet, hat sich diesmal leider zu einem inakzeptablen Text voller Fehler hinreißen lassen, der weder mit Künstler noch Musik etwas zu tun hat. Wir haben ihm mit folgendem Brief geantwortet:

this is Tobias from einzeleinheit. First off, I wanted to thank you for reviewing the two releases we sent you, "Kryptozoologie" by compest and "Ich habe nur noch 12 Seepferdchen..." by aalfang mit pferdekopf. We need all the support we can get and its great to be featured in your excellent mag. Still, I also wanted to let you know that I'm truly disappointed in your review of the aalfang-disc. I'm not talking about the fact that you greatly disliked it, this is clearly not an album that pleases everyone and has already been praised and panned before. I enjoy reading the good articles just as much as the bad ones - cudos go out to everyone who takes the time to listen to this - to many ears foreign and strange - music. But I can simply not take comments such as "This sort of shit has got to stop" or "Day old vomit on the sidewalk of Miami on a dank summer day...smells nicer than this" serious. It has got everything to do with you, but nothing with the music or what someone interested in music would want to read about. And I can tell you that noone "forgot" to turn off the tape or "blundered" his way around the studio.

Your WebZine is excellent and I would never want to tell you how to run it. Just wanted to get this off my chest and thought you might be interested in some feedback.
