Fantastic Festival!

The "Festival der subkulturellen Töne" has been a big success. Admittedly, some demonstrations in the center of Güterslog did scare off some potential spectators, but the crowd which did make it to the Weberei was big and entusiastic enough to make this a great night. The stylistic spectrum was extremely broad, allowing for the catchy synthie pop of headliners Rorschach Garden, the dark free-form of Echo West, the artisticly eclectic mix of harsh minimal electronics and chansons courtesy of Wermut, the hypnotic Pop by Sonnenbrandt and the optimistic, Guitar- and Synthie -driven songs of Punk Soul Loving Bill.

Of course, we were especially happy that Suneaters, consisting of yours truly and Mirko Uhlig (Aalfang mit Pferdekopf) received a warm welcome. WebZine Terrorverlag (who organised the night) writes:

"A remarkable performance, which was especially accknowledged by their musical colleagues afterwards"

Radio Station Walking With Shadows remarks:

"I am used to a festival building up slowly, with the headliner being the acme of the evening. At this festival, though, things were a little different. The duo Suneaters thrilled me at the very beginning, which purportedly played live for the first time - which I found hard to believe! Atmospheric sounds, which reminded me of the Lycia project and made the hearts of all fans of Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream beat faster."

A big thank you goes out to Karsten and Gerrit! See you all soon!
